Seeing In This Moment perform live was something I was looking forward to on months on end, their music taking a prominent place on my playlist recently.

While I enjoyed myself at the event quite a lot, I can’t deny that the concert itself was rather disappointing despite the beautiful visual spectacle.

The triumph of form over substance

When earlier this year release of 3rd season of Brian Fuller’s “Hannibal” coincided with the news of series’ cancellation by NBC, I was  utterly crushed: as the production’s loyal supporter from season one (and a major admirer of Mads Mikkelsen’s both talent and… well… the whole package) I was anxious for news of another channel giving the series a new home…

Sansa Stark - unbent unbowed unbroken

It is impossible to avoid the ripples caused by Unbowed Unbent Unbroken, even if one is not usually following Game of Thrones: Internet was flooded with viewer’s reactions on the subject of Sansa Bolton nee Stark’s wedding night and the Sand Snakes’ story arc, the first one being the pivot of a lot of heated debate about feminism, shock value and broken characters.

Play Arts Kai: Bayonetta & Jeanne action figures

Play Arts Kai: Bayonetta and Jeanne stand-off

I loved Bayonetta: from the moment I’ve seen the initial trailer I knew that it’s a game for me and I never regretted buying X-Box and wide-screen TV to be able to enjoy it fully, but that’s something for a separate post.

However, one of the things about Bayonetta that appealed to me the most was the design: inhumane proportions aside, I loved the two main characters, hence no surprise I was really excited about the action figures Play Arts Kai released as they are well known for how detailed their products are.

Unfortunately, I was about to find out what else they’ve became knows for recently: extremely fragile designs that fall apart in your hands.
